Flexible furlough for childcare reasons - no longer a criteria?

I’m trying to look at my options for when schools close. Both my children are attending a primary in a tier 4 area which was due to open next week.

I was looking in to whether I can request to be flexibly furloughed for a couple of hours a day. My kids will mainly be fine with the TV/tablet while I work but they need me to support and cajole them with home learning, in particular my y4 SEN child who sees a firm line between home and school and what happens where.

So, was about to look to see what my options are and I cannot see anything about childcare being a valid reason for furlough. I looked back at the archived versions of the ‘check if you are eligible’ page on gov.uk, but this criteria was removed at the end of Nov. So I assume this means it is no longer an option?

Will also be exploring annual leave, parental leave and flexible working. Just seems odd that this option on furlough is no longer available as schools are set to close?
