Seeing an alarming number of 'missing person' posts on social media

Is anyone else noticing this? It's really quite alarming.

I'm on a few local community pages and I seem to be seeing more and more of these popping up, people going missing, children, teens, adults.

There have been two recently who've been unfortunately later found dead Sad

This morning another one of a lady who's just left her house, not taken her keys or phone and just gone. Her husband and kids are on Facebook desperately trying to locate her.

I don't know what the answer is but all this is quite clearly having an affect in other areas, mental health being a huge one. It's very sad to see Sad

Please only take notice of police issued appeals. There are times when people do not want to be found, particularly women fleeing DA. I am not saying this is the case in your most recent family appeal ofc.

Thank you! This is so important

To clarify, local police have also issued a statement to say they are extremely concerned for the safety of and have officers out looking.

A lot of the posts I'm seeing are also being shared by local police forces. Including the two who were unfortunately not found alive in my local area Sad

I completely appreciate your point though!

I hope the people are found quickly.

I know what you mean but please do heed the warning.

I'm currently watching an appeal for a woman who has left her home with a small child. Her husband is beside himself with worry as she left without her phone etc. But she isn't missing, she has fled!

You wouldn't necessarily know that from his posts. But the black of police input is telling.
