What’s happening with Unis and FE Colleges?

Just that really?

My husband is supposed to be supervising 100s of students in rooms taking BTECs in January...in Birmingham where cases are soaring. They have had lateral flow testing for weeks now as they also have HE students.

At the moment he has to keep going into work for stupid meetings ‘to show solidarity with the teaching staff’ even though he is management and doesn’t teach. Basically a few of them sit in a room and chat instead of doing it on Zoom. It all seems like pointless risk to me.

Last time it took blanket FE and Uni closures to stop them making him go in. Will this happen?

My husband also has to go in for an in person training day on Monday. Last term even when the students were sent home he had to go and teach on zoom in college rather than home.
