I believe coronavirus may have stopped my periods - did anyone else have similar?

I had coronavirus back in March. Not particularly severely - a high temp for a night, lost taste and smell (which has never happened before to me), had headaches (thought it was sinusitis at first) and then had a cough for a few weeks. Had one day in bed and that was it. Unfortunately my dp picked it up from me and got it a lot worse.

I'm 47 and have never had my period stop for anything and I've had a few severe illnesses in my life.

I didn't put two and two together until recently. You could set your clock by my period since I was 11 when it started. I actually thought I had been through the menopause when it disappeared and I know, given my age, it's still possible that it's my hormones rather than corona.

But they disappeared the month I got ill and only came back in September 6 months later. They are now back completely regularly like they were before and like they've never been away!

I know it may not have been corona but it seems an odd coincidence and especially as they are back completely regularly again. Did this happen to anyone else?

I haven't heard of others talk about it but this was in the Mail the other day

Thanks - I hadn't seen that article and didn't realise it was a thing!

I don't think I had long Covid with symptoms of it though I am asthmatic so it did hit my chest
