Lost my Second Job due to Covid

So I was in the same job for 10 years, working my way up from entry level to management. With the first Lockdown, we were all made redundant from my place of work.

It took me 6 months of looking for a job, a few interviews in which I were pipped at the post. I finally found something, in the same line of work I did before, but entry level. At the interview they asked how I felt about going back to down to the entry level position available and at that point, I just wanted back into the industry so I said it was fine.

Because of the Covid and uncertainty of my industry, I have now been dismissed from my second job. I'm so upset. I never saw myself going back to entry level anyway but was pleased to have a routine again and be back to work. I'm single and in my 30s, so work is all I have.

It really sucks. I feel like i'm never going to find a decent job at my old level again. It just doesn't appear to be avaliable anywhere.

Has anybody else been in this position and how are you coping?
After getting the news I was being laid off again, i'm very beside myself and don't feel too positive for 2021.

I’m so sorry to read that, that’s complete pants. I have no advice for you but it sounds like you have employable skills so hopefully the job of your dreams is right around the corner.

So sorry for you, I can't answer your questions but offer a hand hold. What is your line of work? Have you ever thought about a career change? Perhaps a different more secure industry? Or maybe something temporary until things calm down with covid? A few years ago I had some stressful times with work, I opened myself up to other lines of work and found myself doing something I enjoyed that I wouldn't normally have chosen. I'm now in a different job but wouldn't have got here without widening my horizons xx
