I used this tool yesterday, and just as a little thing for myself put the first date it said DH and I could be jabbed into diary. (Not for ages, but still...).
Today I was showing DH, and I couldn’t get it to give the same dates....it’s now added months. I put in the same info. I’m sure I’m just doing something daft, and I know it doesn’t ‘mean’ anything, I was questioning why it had changed though.
Could anyone who’s used it give it another go and let me know if I’m just loosing the plot!? Thanks!

ChristmasinJune · 31/12/2020 17:40

Ok just checked mine and it's several months later because it's updated itself to show when you'll receive both doses, which of course is much later now. Can't get it to tell me when I should get my first dose though.

Manzanilla55 · 31/12/2020 17:42

Presumably 12 weeks prior to the date it states?

ChristmasinJune · 31/12/2020 17:43

I suppose so, it's odd that it doesn't provide an option to search for that in the advanced search though.

ChrissyHynde · 31/12/2020 17:43

I did it yesterday for my DM and I , and today it's added several months!

onelittleclara · 31/12/2020 17:45

I've used it a couple of times recently and with underlying health conditions it gave me a date between end of March and beginning of May, but now it says end of June till September, thats changed since yesterday. Not sure I understand that, surely more vaccines would indicate quicker times?

stoneysongs · 31/12/2020 17:45

Yes, mine has moved from June-Sept 2021 to Jan-June 2022 Sad

Manzanilla55 · 31/12/2020 17:47

How crap. Mine has jumped from May June 21 to Oct Nov 21. Quite a jump. Not pleased. Aged 57 with no health issues but still a long way off impressed.

Manzanilla55 · 31/12/2020 17:48

Bill Gates always did say 18 months for 'herd immunity'.....

Phial · 31/12/2020 17:49

You can change the vaccination rate in advanced mode. 2 million per week is a lot better than one million.

sleepwhenidie · 31/12/2020 17:51

Could it be something to do with the change of timing between doses that has now been instigated (I think)...12 weeks instead of four so that more people can get 1st dose and some level of protection faster, rather than fewer people getting full protection (if that makes sense?)

Mumoftwoinprimary · 31/12/2020 17:51

@singingstones

Yes, mine has moved from June-Sept 2021 to Jan-June 2022 Sad
And mine. And my parents are now late spring / early summer rather than early spring,
Sevensilverrings · 31/12/2020 17:58

Not just me then. Bugger.
I guess it might be the jump from 21days or whatever it was to 12wks for the second dose, as PP suggested? Does that make sense of the changes?

OP posts:
Manzanilla55 · 31/12/2020 18:00

Yes think you are making sense Sevensilverrings! As long as it is for the social good/economy .... patience needed here sigh ....

Sevensilverrings · 31/12/2020 18:01

So that would be 9 weeks added....mine is adding about that I think. If so, it’s just a glitch really....we all knew our second dose was delayed, but first will be when it was predicted, so take 9 weeks off I think?

OP posts:
Sevensilverrings · 31/12/2020 18:02

I think I’m handling all this reasonably ok, but it takes nothing to raise my anxiety nowadays. Sorry for panicking everyone....

housemdwaswrong · 31/12/2020 18:05

Late March to early May with shielding and underlying conditions. Wonder how accurate that is. I'll have a look to see if there is one for the nations too, as that could make a difference.

Sevensilverrings · 31/12/2020 18:10

Housemdwaswrong , I’m fairly sure it’s out by nine weeks! It’s giving the date for the second dose, so has adjusted, your first dose will be nine weeks earlier.

OP posts:
Sevensilverrings · 31/12/2020 18:11

Or is it 12? Shit, I’m confusing myself now....sorry.

satnighttakeaway · 31/12/2020 18:13

I may have misunderstood but I thought the calculator was just a mathematical model to save you having to calculate by hand, it's not actually any kind of timetable you can put in a diary is it Confused

We aren't meant to rely on it for planning are we?

Sevensilverrings · 31/12/2020 18:17

Satnighttakeaway.....your right of course. I meant to be clear I only entered it in my diary as a thing to aim at as possible projection, rather than an actual date. I was just a bit surprised when it moved, but I understand why now.

OP posts:
Sevensilverrings · 31/12/2020 18:18

Absolutely not meant to be relied on, no.

OP posts:
stoneysongs · 31/12/2020 18:20

Mine is now 7 months later though 🤷‍♀️

housemdwaswrong · 31/12/2020 18:23

@sevensilverrings hmm. That would be from January then. I'll update when I get it in relation to this prediction. Could be interesting.

Hapixmas · 31/12/2020 18:26

Oh god this is terrible. Mine is now 2022. Why can't they just stick to a bloody target?
