Great to see the crowds in New Zealand and Australia letting in the new year! Brilliant to see some positivity and “normality” for a change. Well done to both countries!

I wouldn’t exactly call it “crowds”, OP - the celebrations in both countries have been reduced - NZ it’s a bit more “normal” on the face of it but they’re completely locked down as a country so not really “normal” at all.

Hasn't Melbourne just gone into complete quarantine to me again?

Happy to see the celebrations down under! One of my best New Years ever was in Sydney and we all stayed awake to celebrate midnight in the U.K. too. Happy days! Smile

My brother lives in New Zealand having moved there about 10 years ago from the UK and he says it’s normal. Crowds, no masks, people doing normal stuff. He can’t believe how awful it is over here.
