Nurseries in London boroughs

Has anyone seen anything about whether nurseries on London (where primary schools aren't returning on 4th) are going to have to close? All the news reports I've seen have been about schools and nothing about nurseries.

Once again it feels like politicians/media have forgotten that not everyone has a sahp or nanny for their under school age children and that we might want to know whether we need to plan around nursery closures... (Or I'm being stupid and have missed the information)

As far as I know, there have been no changes made to nurseries.

Early years settings are open (and entirely unthanked by the government!).

School based nurseries may be affected in the ‘closed’ primaries, and guidance said something to effect that schools could decide, based on what they were doing with rest of primary

All nurseries are staying open - it is included in the government guidance just hasn't been talked about a lot. Our nursery (central London) has confirmed this morning that it will be open as usual when term starts.

Thanks for the info! That bit of guidance clearly had passed me by.

And the government may not be the king early years staff but I am incredibly grateful to nursery staff (and the support staff) for staying open and for doing their best to keep everything normal/unscary despite all the extra safety procedures etc!
