No GP registration?

I wondered whether anyone involved in planning for the vaccine roll out has any info on whether it will be possible to get a vaccine if you are not registered with a GP?

I guess this may become more of an issue when mass vaccination starts for the healthy under 50s- surely there will be some sort of booking system which won't be able to cross-check whether the person booking is registered with a GP?

As someone who used to run cervical screening education programme for nurses I'm interested how your screening data would then feed back to public health England. Anyway- one for me to find out about? Thank you.

This is not true. Some periodically write to patients they haven’t seen in a while and if you don’t respond, because you have moved for example and therefore don’t receive it, they will deregister you.

You are right, I just had a lol and it seems this changed a few years ago in England and now it's 2 strikes letters and you are out. Sorry for the duff info OP, I'm in Scotland and didn't realise things had changed in England.

@lovelemoncurdno idea. Maybe contact a private gp clinic and ask? They all offer cervical screening.

I haven't seen my Doctors in 20yrs. Didn't need to. Haven't moved. Only rang surgery to ask about Covid-19 injection & discovered they marked me as an inactive patient. Apparently they wrote to me in 2014. I never received the letters. My family, same address are still registered.

Now they are refusing to reactive my account. What are my rights? Can they do this... Also what's the legal justification for refusing to reactivating a patent registration in a situation like mine?

Astressedmumoftwo · 17/03/2021 19:40

My husband isn't registered.
Hasn't bend to a doctor since he was 15

They won't give a shit if you're unregistered. Small group of us and we'll just fall through the gaps and maybe be one of the 30,000 expected to die in the next few months.
I'm in a refuge. Posted earlier but said I was staying with family. I'm only here temporarily so don't want to change GP. Been invited for the vaccine but through GP, which obviously isn't near the refuge. Every time I try to book nearby it tells me I'm ineligible. GP keeps telling me to wait for it to update. I've been waiting several weeks. I'm really upset because if I hadn't had to flee domestic abuse, I'd have had the vaccine by now.
