Can any secondary teachers help?

My DD is year 11 and was meant to be taking an exam on the 11th of January. She was meant to be having a week of extra tutoring from her teacher when they went back which will now not happen. Will the exam still go ahead do you think?

A mock? Then no. If it's an external exam, I honestly am not sure .

External exams should be going ahead for Jan. Mostly 6th form though.

Is it the BTEC health and social care exam? If so we have no info from the exam board about it yet... BTEC communication in the summer was horrendous!
My year 12s should also have their exam on the 8th...
Who knows what they are going to do.
I suspect we wont have any official communication on it until Monday.

The exam boards will still be waiting for info from the government. Schools will still be waiting also. We don’t find out any quicker than the public!

Yes it's a proper gcse. It's a complicated story but she couldn't take it in may like the year 10's were meant to so was put in to take it in jan. the ones in may obvs didn't take theirs as school was online but she still has to.

Sorry I'm aware you are all just finding out too but I didn't know if staff had maybe been told that alternate plans had been considered. I have a very anxious 15 year old freaking out. It makes it worse as she is the only one taking it in her group

I'm working on the principle that my BTEC exams are going ahead in less than 2 weeks time as I've heard nothing to say they aren't. I'm a bit stressed as I was off the last 2 weeks of term with covid and now it look like I won't have my lessons with then next week. They really need the time with me before the exam

@FiggyPuddingFiend I have said to my DD that I imagine her poor teacher is worrying just as much as her right now!
