Forget mass testing in schools, wouldn't mass vaccination be a better way forward?

Ok I'm being unreasonable, I know they're prioritising elderly, NHS, care workers and vulnerable etc. at the moment. And there isn't enough stock to vaccinate everyone yet but still, wouldn't it be a better idea to teach children online a while and then, when we have enough, to use the military to vaccinate rather than test millions of school children and staff?

The vaccines are not approved for children.

Well yes, mass vaccinations will mean herd immunity, so it wouldn't matter that kids can't be vaxed. But logistically it'll take the best part of 2021 to vax the whole country. In the meantime we have to do what we can, hence the restrictions.

i agree teachers should be vaccinated now just to keep them safe and to keep schools open
