Anyone had covid with snotty nose

I got snotty nose and facial pain. Paracetamol wasn't enough for the facial pain so took some cocodamol that helped. I feel that I have head cold and I don't have any of the main symptoms of covid. Dh had minor cold some days ago and again no main symptoms. I read somewhere that only 5% of those who have covid have snotty nose. I think I can quite safely assume that I have common cold.

I started with a runny nose, sneezing, and feeling ill. Knew I was coming down with something. 4 days later I lost my sense of smell and taste, got a cough.

Kylorey · 05/01/2021 19:58

Should have included at which point I tested and was positive Grin

Choconuttolata · 05/01/2021 20:00

That is how mine started as did everyone in this house who is positive.

EmilyInParis · 05/01/2021 20:08

Yes, me. It's still streaming out, and I come out of isolation tomorrow.

I started with a weird headache and snotty nose. The snotty nose passed after a day but my sense of smell went.

Worriedandabitscared · 05/01/2021 20:13

Yes! I have all the symptoms you're not suppose to have with covid and none that you're meant to have Grin I wouldn't have known if I didn't get tested (got tested when in hospital)

Following with cautious interest.
We all had a headache / feeling tired about 5 days ago, I've now got the mildest sore throat ever and a slightly snotty nose.

I think we all had it, maybe, in April and had a sore throat as my main symptom then too (DH had a nasty fever with sore throat for 3 days about 10 days after I had a mild fever and some body aches for 36 hours, DD had same as me). I am semi assuming having it in April means I will likely have it milder if I have it again.

I don't feel justified to test but I didn't send DD to school yesterday and am not sending DS3yrs to nursery this week. Maybe we do all have it v mildly. I'm acting as though I might, avoiding any contact and minimising going out etc, but not completely avoiding shops.

Bit of a snotty nose on the Friday, but I'm generally a snotty person.

Sunday I developed a head cold feeling, sore throat and a small fever.

Tested monday, positive rec'd on the wed.

Never really progressed past the head cold feeling

HairyToity · 05/01/2021 20:37

I started with a snotty nose.

LouLou198 · 05/01/2021 20:39

Yes, that and a headache was the only symptom myself and my daughter had.

cocodomingo · 05/01/2021 20:43

harknesswitch · 05/01/2021 20:46

My friend tested positive and had a snotty nose, said it was like a head cold, but she also lost her taste of smell and taste
