How does the isolation period work when subsequent members of a household test positive?

Say person A tests positive and has to isolate for 10 days, along with other members of the household

Then person B develops symptoms on day 5 and tests positive on day 7

When does person B’s isolation end?

When does person A’s isolation end?

What if this continues with persons C and D and so on?

Bearing in mind people B, C and D can only have caught it from person A

There is a useful diagram on here which explains it.

Contact tracing phoned me today as now coming to end of isolation. They said as long as no one has left the house then person A doesn't need to restart isolation. I assume person B would need to isolate for a further 10 days from when symptoms started.
