Anyone who works for test and trace on here?

I need to work out my own isolation dates as they have likely lost my PCR test, it’s been 6 days now and nothing.

I began having cold symptoms on 14th December (back and leg ache, blocked nose, lots of sneezing, ear pain). I work for the NHS and took a routine lateral flow test on the 20th which came back raging positive. Went for PCR test on 21st but no result. Taste/smell has since gone during isolation but no fever throughout and minimal coughing.

My 3 year old had diarrhoea over a 12 hour period on the 21st and nothing else. Does this count as a symptom?

My partner has begun coughing a lot (but no temp or loss of taste) since 22nd. Both he and my 3 year old also did PCR tests on the 21st but as I said none of our results have been returned. So we are counting his 10 days as resetting as of 22nd due to symptoms developing.

Anyone on here work for T&T and would give me the advice on our isolation dates? I’ve already told my close family who I had contact with on the 20th to do 10 days isolation which they are.

Sorry realised I’ve done the dates wrong. Positive lateral flow was the 19th, PCR test on 20th and my partners symptoms started on 22nd.

Hi, live in tier 2 but work in tier 4. There’s a lot of implied pressure to be in n office at least 3 days per week. No screens, PPE, wipes -shared loos and kitchen which are cleaned twice a week. It’s financial services so not saving lives or similar. Your opinions please

Hi @oep17, I'm in Scotland so its Test and Protect here - don't work on it but do work in related area - disclaimer that this is my understanding of the situation and not a guaranteed answer.

So, in your case in Scotland it would be 10 days from the date of your lateral flow test. The symptoms you describe unfortunately don't count as coronavirus specific ones for our purposes (only take the big 3 - persistent cough, temp or loss of smell /taste as counting). So as you didn't have any of these it'd be 10 full days from the date you tested. This means on day 10 you isolate until midnight, being able to go out and about on day 11.

For your partner and 3 year old we'd take the day you tested initially too for them (assuming you live together) BUT if they develop symptoms the 10 days would restart for them from that date - so sounds like you've worked it out perfectly for your partner. Regarding you son and diarrhoea, we don't currently count this as one of the symptoms, so go with your test date. If he develops symptoms then as you say clock would reset for him only.

Hope this helps - obviously it's Scotland and to the best of my knowledge, there might be some changes I've not picked up on.
