DH has a shirt from Fat Face and their returns say if bought after 18th December he has 30 days.

Also a lot of shops are still open for click and collect.....they might be open for pre booked returns? You could try emailing them or tweeting and ask?

cautiouscovidity · 26/12/2020 08:05

Did he buy it in store? If so, legally shops aren't obligated to offer any right to return at all. But morally, yes they should extend if the shops are closed.

Skipsurvey · 26/12/2020 08:07

no my dd bought it for him, as a Christmas present, in the sale.

Last year a lot of shops added 14 days after they were allowed to open for returns, if they can't be returned via post or C&C, I would expect this to happen. Means you could be stuck with the unwanted item for quite a while though.

namesnamesnamesnames · 26/12/2020 08:08

Yes! I'm now in this tier and the same thought struck me last night.

LovingLen · 26/12/2020 08:14

If they don't do something for shop bought returns they will be encouraging people to cross tiers to return items which would not be good.

delilahbucket · 26/12/2020 08:16

Next arranged a free postal return for me when I asked so get in touch with them.

Skipsurvey · 26/12/2020 08:20

it is a shame it cannot be exchanged, well it will be a palaver, post one back , and buy one all by post, but it is doable
thank you

canyon2000 · 26/12/2020 08:31

Sorry posted wrong link
3 month extension for returns

CKBJ · 26/12/2020 08:56

That’s good! Hope others follow

RaspberryCoulis · 26/12/2020 09:00

It's probably also worth remembering that by law they only need to take goods back which are faulty. Exchanging or refunding because you've changed your mind, don't like it, it doesn't fit or someome else has given you the same thing is not a legal requirement.

Many shops have shut changing rooms so are being more lenient, but they don't have to be. Retailers across the UK are also struggling hugely and tightening up on refund policy is an easy thing to do.

Skipsurvey · 26/12/2020 09:30

i cannot see that Fatface have extended their returns on your link btw
