i know you cant but i know someone who wants to, stay over 2 nights and then on to tier 3 for a week and then to tier 3

what would happen to her?
travelling by public transport
will they be fined?

She would be very irresponsible, it is advised not to stay overnight unless the person visiting is in their bubble or is vulnerable. If she is stopped, yes, she could be fined. Travelling between tiers is also not advised and the message in tier 4 is stay at home.

Skipsurvey · 25/12/2020 09:57

i guess the person in tier 4 is in their bubble, but then moving on to tier 3 is her bestfriend she has not seen for a while.
i think she will do it anyway

the final tier 3 is her home

The fact that she'd do the above on public transport is the bit that is absolutely beyond selfish.

nannynick · 25/12/2020 10:19

If they are single and have formed a support bubble with the household in tier 4, then that is permitted.

Them then going to Tier 3 is not, as they are leaving Tier 4 without a valid reason.
What happens - who knows... would anyone stop them? Maybe if they are travelling on a train then BTP might be asking random passengers, so they might catch them and issue a fine. Though how likely that is, I have no idea.

I would say they are a selfish idiot.

borageforager · 25/12/2020 10:26

I’m sure they would get away with it.

I’m amazed that their conscience would let them though. How do people manage to ignore all the messaging about this & just feel whatever they want to do is fine? I’m half jealous!

DontStopThinkingAboutTomorrow · 25/12/2020 10:29

Realistically nothing will happen
But she is an idiot.

the coach has not cancelled her

Its not the coach company job to police selfish behavior is it
