I’m not sure if that makes sense. So if you had spent time with someone who had covid, what day are you likely to come out with symptoms? (If you were going to have symptoms that is) is there a rough timeline?

I’m not visiting anyone before anyone points any fingers, I have just got a bit of a heavy chest today so of course covid has gone past my mind. I have barely been anywhere so wondering if you are able to work out where/from who you are likely to have caught it from? Just thinking out loud.

I think generally it's 2-5 days from exposure is the most likely time you will start to show symptoms.

The vast majority of people are ill within 5 days, the rest within 10, but for a teeny tiny minority, it can take up to 14.

Ok thanks. So if you end up with covid, are you meant to contact everyone you have seen/been in contact with for those 14 days? I haven’t stuck my head in the sand but those facts seem to have gone over my head, I guess because I don’t go out that much.

It just got me thinking because of the weird heavy chest I have today and I guess trying to rule out covid Grin

No, test and trace only ask for details of anyone you've seen in the 48 hours BEFORE symptoms appeared.

Ah i see. Bit of a minefield! Hoping this doesn’t turn into anything else!
