Anyone else lose smell/taste with Covid?

I tested positive for covid last week and have since completely lost my sense of smell and taste. I literally can't smell anything - even covonia! - and can only taste salt/sweet, not actual flavours. I did have a cough, fever and chills until a few days ago but now feel much better - just a bit spaced. Has anyone else who's had covid lose smell/taste and if so, how long did it last and is there anything that helps to get it back? I'm finding it very frustrating that I won't be able to enjoy Christmas dinner - the only good thing about this miserable Christmas!

I had Covid in March, got hospitalised in April. My sense of taste went haywire - food either tasted of perfume or chemical disinfectant - but didn’t disappear completely. It was pretty much back to normal after two weeks, but I’ve been left permanently breathless with lung damage and still get flare ups of coughing and muscle weakness every month or two.
