Test and trace - have to self isolate for 9 days. Was I near someone yesterday or the day before?

Really appreciate any help. Just had notification that I need to SI for 9 days.

Does that mean I was near someone who has Covid yesterday (which seems to make no sense) or the day before?

I think it’s 10 days from the contacts symptoms

The day you saw them was day 0.
That’s my understanding and how my isolation has been calculated.

Ok, so if I saw them on day 0, that's the day before yesterday.

When I was at the doctor's taking an elderly relative for their Covid jab... oh the irony 😩
