Are test results taking longer at the moment?

I had a test on Monday morning and no news yet. On the NHS website it says results should be sent the next day.
Are results taking longer at the moment due to the festive season? Thanks

My son had a test Monday morning, results back at 1am

Drive thru or post?? Our recent ones came back in around 50 hrs. London.

I had mine done on Monday midday and haven’t heard back yet. Test centres in my area (EoE) are pretty busy so suspect backlogs.

I think a lot of asymptomatic people are booking tests so they can see their relatives at Christmas. It's taken me 7 hours of retrying online to get a test booked locally (on my gp's advice). It's too easy to just lie and say you have symptoms. Plus you only have to mention on here you have a snivel and posters are screaming at people to get tested despite the very specific testing symptoms stated by the NHS .

I had a test on monday and i know 3 other people who also did. Two got their result last night (one pos and one neg). Myself and the other person are still waiting. Depends on the test center maybe

Also check emails more frequently than expecting text. Last time i tested the text came 7 hours after the email

We did tests Saturday (sent through post same day) and had result Monday. The priority postbox was so full of tests I had to jam them in as well! In London.

Did home test and posted (priority delivery) on Sunday.
Results back this morning.

Just got result after 54 hours. Negative thankfully !
