Is lack of space driving anyone else mad?

I’ve not been on my own in my house since March. It is driving me CRAZY. I am either at work (teacher) or at home and then I have the children all the time. Dh is now permanently working at home but even when he goes out for his run or bike ride I have the children.
I’m naturally introvert and I feel like months more of NO SPACE might drive me to the edge. I’m not exaggerating. It’s really making me feel as though I cannot breathe properly.

Yes I totally get this. I end up staying up far too late to get time where no one else wants me or needs me for anything. I also haven't been on my own in the house since March. They never go anywhere, DH is also working from home and the teens don't ever go to sleep.

It’s so hard isn’t it. It’s probably the thing that’s harming me more than anything else. Not having a minute. Only the fifteen minute drive to and from work.

Yes. I miss my solitude

It's the thing I've found hardest, without a doubt. I need to retreat by 8pm and of course that's when the teens appear and need me. It's hard.

If your dh can go out for a walk/run, you should too, though I realise you may prefer to be indoors.

FOUR of my friends treated themselves to time away by themselves in the break between lockdown, a couple just booked a trave lodge type thing for a night, one went to a posh hotel in Bath for a weekend and one booked a cottage for a week. 2 have school aged kids and left the dads in charge.

I wouldn’t do it myself, I’m a massive extrovert and get bored alone.

Any chance you could book a cancellable break for yourself for after this lockdown?
