Has anyone had their flight cancelled out of the UK?

Just wondering whether many people will be affected by the UK travel bans? Canada and India have now joined the list.

A close friend was going home for Christmas they hadn’t been home for 7 years and was taking their 3 year old to meet grandparents for the 1st time. They are literally devastated and are now being told they won’t get their money back either.

Why wont they get their money back?

was it booked prior to covid?

@Marvelle I’m not totally sure all he said is they are being told they will not get their money back by the airline. I have told him to pursue it as they should be entitled to a refund. Was booked at the beginning of the year before covid.
