What to do about meeting another person over Christmas

Me and my partner don't live together. We usually meet up once or twice a week to go for a walk or go for breakfast.

He got a new job in a bar and he started work a few weeks ago. He has been so busy all weekend this weekend in work. The place he is working in, is folling the social distancing guidelines. There's far too many people going in the door to the bar, I think the chances of virus exposure is high.

I was hoping he could come around and we could watch a movie and have some drinks and stay the night over the Christmas. I would be very anxious that he's been exposed to the virus this weekend and there's the possibility of him being in the incubation phase.

What do you think I should do over Christmas?
Should we continue with our plans to meet up and come in and stay the night or should ww just meet up like we usually do?

I am in Ireland and I think we will be in lockdown by next weekend the 27th/28th of December. I could wait for about 2 weeks after his last work day to have him stay over maybe.

I'm disappointed. I was really hoping on having him come over but there's too much risk of exposure in his job now.
