Tier 4 - will it be like the November lockdown so any shop that sells a hammer or biscuit will stay open?

Just wondering what will stay open. So many shops were open last lockdown and I take it they will do the same in Tier 4?
It seems ridiculous to me that so many will need to change their Christmas plans yet The Range will continue to be able to open to sell table lamps etc simply because (I assume) they sell a bit of DIY stuff. Even more galling if schools shut in January yet Wilkos will still be open for me to buy all sorts of rubbish.

Hello! No, so this will be like lockdown 1 in March, with all non-essential shops to close. So gyms, clothing stores etc will close this time round. Only supermarkets, chemists etc will stay open. Hope this helps!

Hopefully, because I’ve got a picture to put up.

Garden centres are staying open so it doesn’t seem more of a November lockdown then the March one

And everywhere that can can do click and collect. Just stopped at a motorway services to grab a takeaway and people are eating in in costa, McDonald’s and anywhere else serving food. I asked why, as tier 4 meant to eve be takeaway only and the guy said he didn’t know. And he was too afraid to ask for the fear that he’d lose his job 😥

@Shazz20 I'm lockdown 1 in March all sorts of shops with a spurious link to 'essential items' were open including Wilkos and the range.
