Train was alrady booked, my dad has been alone caring for my terminally ill mum and suffering from depression with the load of this. I am single in a bubble with noone else.

Can I still take the train to Scotland to prove my dad a few days respite?

Probably best if you check if it’s Scotland or Wales....
But yes I’d check if trains are running but to my mind this would be an exemption in order to provide care

I have no idea. I think this would be ok as an exclusion though. I know there are some exceptions for things like this

And sorry for the situation you’re in 💐
Also could be considered an exemption for you to see your mum

I think most of the talk of support bubbles is just people finding a get out clause, but (unfortunately) yours seems a very genuine case. I'd travel

But do you mean scotland or Wales?

I just wanted to say that I am so sorry that you are in this situation Thanks

You can visit people if you have caring responsibilities- this clearly falls into this category. Go, and do it with confidence that this is the right thing to do.

Do it OP, and best of luck to you all Flowers

Is there anything you can get on paper to show that you're travelling to Scotland to give respite medical care? Because that absolutely has to be an exception, but the last I read Sturgeon was going to try to get police controls set up at the border so only essential travellers (like you) would be allowed through.

Scotland - caring for a vulnerable person is absolutely ok.
Wales - no idea.

Not quite sure how you’ve managed to muddle up where you’re going though?
