Are there actually any official Tier 4 rules yet?

Nothing seems to be on the government site? It's really not very clear.

If you're in Tier 4 you can't leave (unless it's an emergency)
No mixing of households
Non essential shops closed
Gyma closed.
Only go out if you have to

Think of it like lockdown.

I suspect we are all guessing, but will medical appointments still go ahead (they didn't in 1st lockdown)?

The rules have been published now and do specifically say that it is fine for all medical and healthcare activities to go ahead.

In the first lockdown I don't think it was part of official lockdown rules that medical appointments must be cancelled, but that individual providers had to prioritise working out how to operate safely and needed to cancel a swathe of planned appointments to give them the space to do that, but they were then operating again (my cousin had a serious cancer issue during the first lockdown and was seen and treated. The nhs sid not shut down)

My local hospital cancelled all non-emergency appointments. I think that was the norm across the country.
