Sore throat with spot on tonsil, test for Covid? Gross pic included sorry

I have a weird spot on my tonsil, it’s like a mouth ulcer. It is sore but I’ve no fever, just a bit of post nasal drip which is making me cough.

I feel tired and a little out of sorts but nothing major. I don’t have any of the classic symptoms of Covid. I can get a test but will have to lie to say I have one of the main symptoms.

I just feel tired and run down, slightly strange fuzzy head. Apart from that nothing else.

WWYD?

Looks like tonsillitis.

Looks like tonsillitis. Speak to your GP. I suffer with tonsillitis a lot and my GP said that there was no need for me to be tested even if I got a temperature.

I haven’t had tonsillitis for years so it’s come out of nowhere, I started getting a sore throat on Tuesday and yesterday and today it’s like this.
I do feel tired and under the weather but no fever, continuous cough (just an intermittent cough, I can feel secretions in the back of my throat).
My taste and smell is completely fine too.

It’s just I have things to do over the weekend, click and collect to pick up and presents to drop off to people. I don’t want to have to isolate unnecessarily but obviously don’t want to pass anything around either.

If you have coughing bouts/episodes more than three times in 24 hours, then you need to test. This was what 119 told me.
