Have you caught Covid from someone before they displayed symptoms

Spent all day Tuesday in an office, we sit just over 2m apart and back to back.

Colleague started with symptoms Tuesday night.

Just wondered how many people have gone on to catch it in this way, wouldn't usually be worried but if she does test positive I will have to isolate till Boxing Day, my DF died in October and DM was due to come to me so would mean she will have to be alone Sad

Just saw no one had replied , I think it's very easy to catch , but if you were 2 metres away, you shouldn't have to isolate as you were taking precautions ok'd by your work . Has the test come back yet ?
I'm waiting for a test but if I'm positive , then my work mates won't have to isolate .

Yes. I am 99% sure I caught it from a colleague in a 5 min meeting. Any other precautions (masks, ventilation)? People do shed different amounts of virus so you may well be lucky even if your colleague is positive.

My brother did (or at least it's the only possible source he knows of.)

There's no knowing where you've caught it really.

Yes, in the staff room socially distanced for 20 minutes with windows open etc. They became symptomatic 8hrs later. I now have covid too, my symptoms started 3 days after exposure.

Test came back today positive, we work in a school so we are just over 2ms apart and back to back with doors and windows open but masks are only in corridors, staff room etc.

Been feeling unwell since Wednesday and got diagnosed with a kidney infection yesterday so praying I haven't caught that on top.

Sorry to hear they were positive. If you get any symptoms I'd get a test ASAP. My colleagues and I at school did everything right but still managed to get it. Aerosol spread is a total pain.

I have to be tested on Monday anyway through a testing programme for schools in our borough, not going anywhere anyway as feel so awful.
