Hi. Can someone help ?

I had to self isolate has little one had symptoms arranged a test which took a week to come back so had to have the week off work who have said it's unpaid dependant leave

I looked up the £500 help for self isolating but I don't qualify but what I did read is ssp could be eligible- called acas but it was a bit of a grey area - how can it be ? Surely yes or no ?

Anyone have experience of this?

I'm not asking for full company pay ssp ?

I'm a bit annoyed as my manager has made me feel bad and saying things like
It's not ideal missing work?! No it's not when it's unpaid

Thanks for any advice before I ask for ssp

This is what I've read online that you can get ssp living with someone who has symptoms

I dont get sick pay at work but when dd actually tested positive I got ssp.
Work advice is if you live with someone with symptoms you must self isolate until test result. In that case I would get ssp.

Yes that's how I read it

I had to self isolate for 10 days as my daughter had symptoms

My work have told me it's all unpaid parental leave
