Hi. My 5 year old son is currently self isolating due to his teacher testing positive. On day 4 since contact and he has developed a cough 😣 I know children get it mildly but he has asthma and I am so worried. Have ordered a home test, hopefully arriving tomorrow

Try not to worry, having asthma does not increase his risk of having COVID badly unless he is an unusual case. The whole isolation business and its repercussions is a massive nuisance though and it's horrid when our DC don't feel well. Hope he feels better soon.

Try not to worry hard I know because I am a worrier! My 9 year old tested positive yesterday he's currently sat eating chinese watching the iPad right as rain! Your little one is going to be just fine whatever the test says xx

Thank you so much. We are still waiting for results but his cough is almost gone. Me and my husband are feeling absolutely awful with coughs, headaches and temperatures so I'm almost certain he caught it from his teacher
