I was convinced she'd die! I'm in Australia....she has COPD which is a lung condition....when she went in with COVID I was convinced that was it.

Three weeks later and she's back home and fine!

The hospitals in the UK are amazing. Thank you to all of the amazing staff who are doing the impossible.

Wonderful news for you. It must be so difficult to be so far away at a time like that. Flowers
Great news she is well enough to come home.

Sad that so many people in the UK just do not appreciate how wonderful the NHS is.

I am so pleased that your mum is okay. When anyone comes out of hospital after having Covid, it gives us all hope that our loved ones can survive too.

ineedaholidaynow · 13/12/2020 01:15

Brilliant news!

Inkpaperstars · 13/12/2020 01:18

So pleased for you and your mum, what an incredible relief! Hope she continues to recover really well x

FortunesFave · 13/12/2020 02:15

Thanks everyone. She put some weight on whilst she was in and that's a good thing as she tends on the skinny side...she's got her carers back booked in and ready to call in on her. She's had flowers delivered from my siblings and says when they took her out in the early hours ready to bring her home, that the cold air was the most amazing thing! You know how the air in hospital is all hot and 'used' feeling!
