Take DS out of nursery for Christmas?

Ds's nursery has a nursery worker confirmed as covid. It's in another class so may be overreacting but am considering taking him out now to ensure we can see grandparents over Christmas. I would be so depressed if we had to isolate over Christmas. He is 18months and want him to have a fun family filled day. Grandparents are mid fifties and 68 so not elderly but not spring chickens.

You've got every right to take them out (as a nursery manager I can understand) so long as you are aware you'll still be liable for fees during that time.

We've had a couple go off from Friday so they can see elderly relatives

If you can then do.
Where I am schools are making attendance optional next week for the same reason .

It’s nursery. I’d take him out.

@ChunkyButFunky87 absolutely, no problem there. It would be manageable but this week was his first doing 2 full days as I have gone back to work, worry it would be a disruption but then, if he was to have to isolate we would be worse off as he wouldn't be able to go to his grandparents for the other 2 days.

Think I'll do it, its only 2 days as they are off the folllwing week.

I would do it, definitely.
