What time and who will be the first person get the vaccine?

More betting: I am going for 8:00am tomorrow (8th) and it will be a female nurse.

I've just said to DH that the journalists will be rushing around trying to find the first person.

I've just read on twitter that they will be kept anonymous but it will be a health care worker.

Well I was wrong on both counts :) it's a 90 year old (I am assuming isn't a health care worker) named Margaret.

They were announcing on the radio this morning at around 6.30 that the first vaccine was imminent and that it would be a hospital patient. Apparently a number of hospitals were hoping to be the first. I feel sorry for all the patients, waking up to find a nurse hanging over them, syringe at the ready, desperate to get in first.

As a Coventrian I was so happy to wake up to today’s news.
