Should I see a doctor or just accept it?

So I tested positive to Covid 4.5 weeks ago. I lost my taste and smell completely and it's not come back since! It's actually getting depressing now. Don't speak to a doctor about this ? Or just accept that I'll never taste and smell again? I guess I'm one of the ones whose been permanently damaged

4.5 weeks is too soon to say if it's permanent.
I doubt doc can treat you, but maybe they could refer you to a study that is trying to track severity of Long covid symptoms.

Doc could give you antiD treatment since your mood is badly affected I suppose.

Hi, I'm just copying and pasting something I posted on another similar thread:

Please watch the following video from ENT UK regarding loss of smell:

Also look at the following links:

Hope you feel better soon x

Have you googled how long it can take to come back? I’m sure I’ve read that it can be months. I dunno.

One of my work colleagues was positive back in March and lost her sense of taste and smell - it’s only just started coming back. It can take months apparently.
