"Christmas is coming but with Covid still a serious concern, how can you help your patients manage the risk of spreading the infection this festive season?

In a 30-minute video, TV presenter Kate Garraway will pose some of the most pressing questions about the Covid Christmas bubble guidelines to top medical experts, including Professor Robin Shattock, Dr Clare Gerada, Dr Chris van Tulleken and Dr Sarah Filson.

This programme has been produced by the RSM to help members of the general public understand the science behind the vaccines, and to hear experts offering first-hand advice on how to stay safe during the festive season.
Listen to practical tips about:
•

How to plan a safe family gathering, and prevent any infection from spreading
•

How to travel safely during the holidays
•

How to care for someone who may be showing Covid symptoms

As intended for the wider general public, this is a truly unique event for the RSM (Royal Society of Medicine) to undertake. Please do help us spread the word amongst your friends, family, colleagues and patients to help everyone enjoy a safe festive period, and to also help our colleagues who are treating those people suffering from the virus.

This programme is free to watch. Visit the web page and sign up to receive an email reminder before the broadcast.

The RSM online events have been excellent throughout this challenging time. I think this, free to the public, on line discussion will be very useful.

Many thanks to MNHQ for reinstating my post in the appropriate section.
I do hope that the information will be useful to many people and their families.
Of course, there may well be people who have had enough information about Covid19, but the RSM broadcasts are always exceptionally informative and interesting IME.

You are welcome. It is really worth looking at the RSM website. They have done some really good lunch time and evening talks online, many of which are open to the public. They have had some very interesting, good speakers, including Ken Follett and Mary Beard, as well as the purely medical ones, which have generally been focused on the current pandemic.
