Sorry if a stupid question but I Know the preventative nature of a vaccine but would injecting someone who is sick with Covid help them recover?

I may be very wrong here, and definitely not an expert.

From what I have read the vaccine works by stopping the protein spikes on the virus being able to attach, so I don't think it would cure someone already sick as the virus will be in their system already.

Again I will state this is just my opinion based on reading stuff on the Internet and may not be correct.

I’m not sure, but an interesting question!
My initial thought would be no though, because some vaccines (I’m not sure about the new ones!) are suppose to trigger an immune response and train the body to develop a immunity. The vaccines need to be administered 28 days apart in two doses.

If someone is already sick, their body presumably wouldn’t be able to do that.

Oxford Zoe people aren't sure but think it's worth trying for people with long covid and it could possibly help
