How many people can attend a funeral in a tier 2 area?

Just that really.
I have been asked to go to a funeral of a person who has days left to live.

I really don’t want to go.
I live in a different country, also in tier 2.

I’m hoping the Covid rules will help me avoid this.

Long story so I won’t bore you with it.

30 people can attend. You are advised to travel by car - could it be too far to do this ?

Personally I'd say something along the lines of you're not happy with travelling so far and mixing with different people .

Whatever tier you are in, if the funeral is in England, 30 attendees are allowed. Only 15 can attend a wake (which cannot be held in a private residence unless it is only attended by one household).

What country is the funeral in? You could Google the guidelines of the government of that country to ensure you have correct information.

Funeral will be in Essex and I live in a neighbouring county.

I’m going to one next Thursday. 30 people in total. I’m going as the representative of my side of the family. It is being sent out on zoom. Or sucks but it is what it is. I’m in the same area as you.
