Excellent news. I'm just off to bed. It's nice to read something good just before I do.
Fingers crossed its true and also that it's the same for everywhere across the UK.

Really hope we see the mass vaccination clinics up soon and it's good to see that there are suitable sites being identified.

I keep seeing elsewhere though that the first vaccines will be the ones that need the ultra cold storage so are only going to be given in hospitals, which makes sense www.theguardian.com/world/2020/nov/27/hospitals-england-told-prepare-early-december-covid-vaccine-rollout-nhs

Does sound hopeful that the first people will be getting it in a couple of weeks though, wherever it is happening.

Lunch the Oxford vaccine has also been presented to the regulators for approval, so they might be rolled out together.
I have no idea how long it will take to license vaccines though, so don't quote me, lol.

It can't be true can it? I mean wouldn't that be national and international news?

Crumpety · 28/11/2020 11:30

I really hope this is true 🤞🤞🤞

bathsh3ba · 28/11/2020 12:11

I doubt it will start that early but at least they will be ready. Can't help thinking it's unwise though to bring everyone in N Somerset and S Glos, where rates are 210 and 232 respectively, into Bristol which is 346 to be vaccinated.

Keepdistance · 28/11/2020 13:11

Bath -the covid testing site for some of n somerset is in bristol.
Part of the reason some of n somerset had such high rates is likely that there are many jobs there, pubs, buses come from there. But i guess most if that doesnt apply to the older age groups.
I think the only other hospital is in WSM

MHRA is expected to green light the BioNTech and Pfizer vaccine within days - ahead of US/EU. First jabs could be come as soon as Dec 7.^
