Booked for test tomorrow but have to arrive by car

Has this happened to anyone?
I'm booked for a Colonoscopy next week and have to have a test beforehand. Now that I'm looking closely at the instructions I see that you can't arrive on foot or by taxi.

What do I do? 🤷🏻‍♀️

@mooncakes I dont think you can really do a colonoscopy as a home test. OP speak to your GP or the hospital before cancelling about possible options

The OP is on about needing a covid test prior to the colonoscopy rather than needing to arrive by car for that procedure.

Have you been told you have to have your test at a specific place? If so, I would phone the hospital, explain that you don't have a car, and ask them what you should do.

Trouble is I can't call the hospital because the scheduling team is only phoneable 9-5 Mon-Fri.

Lots of people at our hospital test centre in taxis for pre-procedure tests. Both in masks and passenger as far away from the driver as possible (back left seat).

When's your hospital appointment? Is it's going to be tight just book a normal covid test at a walk through, no one checks what symptoms you have (because half the time they've gone by time you test!)

They really won't let you get a taxi? My mum got a taxi to the hospital for her presurgery covid test.
