Children not counting in numbers outside- has this gone now?

Sorry if it’s been asked already but can’t find it. The thing about children under 5 not counting in the numbers when 2 adults meet outside- was this just for lockdown, has this rule gone now? Appreciate in tier 3 you can’t meet outside full stop- but 6 people can meet outside in tiers 1 and 2, but is this back to including children? I was meeting one friend with our 5 in total children (all under 5) this month- but as this makes 7, is this back to not being allowed again? Thanks!

It was in relation to going for a walk with one other person only, to allow two mums to push their buggies around the park chatting. It's back to 6 in the park so irrelevant

And you can meet outdoors in Tier 3!!! As long as it's an outdoor public place i.e. not your garden

RedskyAtnight Yes apologies you’re right, you can.

movingonup20 The rule meant I could meet one friend outside during lockdown (with 5 children between us), but now I can’t, so it’s not irrelevant to me.
