Waiting for result and quite poorly but hoping just chest infection!

I had a mouthful of ulcers last week but just thought nothing of it. Then on Sunday night I woke up having an asthma attack. Was blowing under 200 on my peak flow and, according to my care plan, should've called 999. But I managed to get my PF up a bit and I stayed home. Monday I was still breathless and I had chest pain. Rang GP and steroids and antibiotics prescribed. Monday night couldn't sleep, temperature raised and sweating like crazy. Ordered a Covid test on Tuesday morning and DH is now in isolation with me and is feeling ok but miserable. Test done Wednesday and sent off that afternoon.

Today- no temp
Sweating
Breathless ( but improving)
Headache
Not sure if taste gone as I lose it easily when on steroids/antibiotics
Chest still painful ( pressure centrally front and under shoulder blades)

I have had pneumonia a few times ( I am a brittle asthmatic) and this doesn't feel as bad - it feels like the build up to a dose. I think getting the steroids and antibiotics ASAP might've been the best thing.

So that's it... I am waiting

Never before have I wished for it to be 'just' a chest infection!!!
