Tested positive on Saturday. Since then I’ve been feeling pretty crappy, all the common symptoms, very fatigued and run down, fevers and chills etc. Moping around and generally feeling sorry for myself (having a one year old also makes things a little bit tricky, even with DH isolating too).

Since testing positive the NHS have sent me two emails, 12 text messages, and tried to call me around 9 times. I answered the first of these calls and it was a woman reading off a terrible script - for example she said, “how are you feeling”, I said up and down, today better than yesterday and her response was “I need you to say either “well” or “not well””. The whole thing was almost comical if I wasn’t so bloody ill.

I’m home. My family are home. We’re isolating. I don’t need the NHS checking in on me multiple times a day, if I need help I would ask for it but in the mean time please let me recover in peace!

Oh and the time they were confused because I said I'd already just spoken to them they said "I'm going to have to call you back!"

Today's advisor said "well try to keep busy" I replied that with a demanding job and 2 kids at home, including one with Covid, I was quite busy thanks. She seemed shocked that I work!

My kids are isolating as of today and the track and trace TOLD us they were going to contact us daily, presumably to check we were complying with the isolation?

So it is all part of the plan- in Wales anyway.

Answering a mobile though is not proof the person is at home though.

A daily call fine, 16 messages pinging one night, emails and chaser messages with Web codes that are invalid when you try to register? It's too much.

@middleager I had a really weird response when I said I was able to get work done from home (not that I have been able to in the last 24 hours), she said something like “oh wow you have a job, great!”

Honestly, I thought I was in The Twilight Zone.
Hope you feel better soon OP, it must be hard enough without feeling harassed Flowers

Do they actually help you in any way for example call 111 or liaise with emergency services if you are struggling?

Sounds annoying. Hope you feel better soon OP Flowers
