Think they only record the people eligible for JSA or UC so likely many many more.
Personally I would love to see decent investment in green technology and manufacturing because regardless of where your views sit on climate change low-carbon solutions to energy and travel is the growing area and it would be great to be a big part leading the research and development whilst also creating good, long term, esteemed jobs in the process.
So they will probably just build more roads and houses instead!
