Children and the rule of 6

Anyone know if small children are going to be counting for rule of 6 purposes in England at the end of lockdown? During lockdown they had said under 5's don't count for the numbers. And I think under 12's don't count in Scotland.

Yes, they have always been counted in England and there is no reason they'd be relaxing this.

Unfortunately it's any age child in England that counts. I have 3 kids and even though my parents are my childcare bubble, I still can't see them with my husband too or it'll be 7. Completely stupid.
If you have a child under 1 you can bubble with another household I believe.

Which is bizarre as during lockdown I can meet in a group of 7 (or more!) with under 5s disregarded, now we come out we have maximum 6!

Yes I find this bizarre too! I’m in a worse position now in tier one than I was in lockdown, as I could meet one other Mum outdoors with our 5 preschoolers then, but now I can no longer do that.
