I dont think it's clever either I think it is embarrassing. Why does he need to talk to us like kids, like we only understand stupid phrases? I think the phrases is something he has always done, I’m sure people don’t write it, why would they, some people just do this, it’s quite annoying.

I'm a bit of a fan of 'Dad jokes' so it's ok by me. it will cut through.

its nonsense. we are not bothering with Christmas this year, just hunkering down until there is a vaccine. Not seeing anyone who does not live with us and that includes 2 of our adult children who live in other parts of the country. It is not worth the risk, I have health problems. It will be Christmas by Skype.

Maybe if he talked to the electorate like adults instead of a Y1 teacher at story time he might be more effective.

I always expect him to chuck the chin of the nation and ask us to pull his finger.
