Dd waiting for test had a cold (sore throat, sneezing) but now coughing. Do I need to collect other dd from school (she leaves earlier - had gone before we realised how much dd was coughing)?

I called school, after some umming and ahing they said she should probably come home, but she would stay in lessons till I got there . It’s very clear on the .gov pages that you need to isolate if a household member has symptoms - but nothing about how quickly you are expected to go home.
