Anyone in Spain who can give me travel advice?

I don't really understand what the restrictions are or will be around Christmas my ex wants to drive from Valencia to Lugo area to see our son for Christmas. I'm not sure if he's driving rather than flying to try and get around the restrictions, I just want to keep my son and myself safe and follow the rules. Can anyone help?

Lugo is currently under perimetral closure so people coming from other parts of Spain are not allowed entry. Whether this will be the case closer to Christmas we still don't know. I would wait until nearer the time, certainly nothing will change until after the December 6th and 8th holiday.

Yes, wait and see. At the moment I can't travel 10km away to the next large city at the weekend. So we can't go to the mountains for a trek in the fresh air. Curfew at 10pm, unless you're working.

As Bebe said, wait a couple of weeks and the government will have set out the Xmas plan.

Any suggestions on how to word it? He can be quite disagreeable I'm really hoping I don't have to refuse him, as I'm not going to break the rules. We are waiting for court ATM for visitation etc and he is not paying anything right now even suggestions for clothes vouchers etc have been ignored.

You may find, if there are travel restrictions, police control points will send him back. People here have been fined left right and centre for trying to travel outside the limits. I'm in Catalunya.

He sounds rather pig-headed and couldn't give a stuff about restrictions, so you may have to leave it to the police to tell him, if he comes across any.

I hope they do, it seems like he's going to do it either way.
