DD and I have had possible symptoms since the 18th. Ordered home test kits the same day, they arrived (well, delivered to next door with no notification to me, which is an issue already) the next day, too late to make it to the closest priority post box in time.
However they were missing the instruction leaflets and Royal Mail return labels. Called 119 who tried to arrange a courier to pick them up the next morning but there were no reference numbers either to even say whose test was whose. They said that we would need new test kits sending out but after going through the whole process the system would not allow them to be ordered because we'd so recently ordered them. The lady advised try again later or tomorrow morning. So I did try later. Same problem.
Received an email from NHS test & trace saying that a small number of test kits ordered between certain dates had been missing instructions and return label - call 119 to order new ones. I already had.
Called again this morning, went through it all again but with the same result. Try again later or tomorrow morning.
We're on what would be classed as day 4, I'll call again in the morning which will be day 5. If I can't get them ordered by 3pm on day 7 we're pretty much stuck. Not sure when we'd have to isolate until. DD's primary school requires proof of a negative test result to let her back in. But I'm unsure given the circumstances how long to isolate for if we can't get tests sorted.
If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it.
