My dad has tested positive for covid, I am currently staying at my parents(my dad has gone to my home to self isolate) with my 2 DS. DS1 is 7 and DS2 is 8 weeks old. DS2 has snotty nose, green poo hes had this for a couple days now. Still being fed with wet nappies just not his usual self. I rung 111 up and they have not contacted me back. I am worried sick. Tomorrow will be day 7 since the positive test.

I am now getting a dry tickle in the back of my throat. Please if anyone has any advice! Sad

The risk of young children developing serious illness (or even mild illness) with covid is vanishingly small. There have been almost no serious cases in under 5. So dont worry about your baby and covid (easy to say I know!) A runny nose is also not on the list of symptoms for covid so most likely just a cold. If he's feeding well, and no problems breathing theres probably not too much to worry about, but obviously contact you gp or phone 111 back if thay changes.

All I can say is our grandson tested positive at 6 weeks old. No symptoms whatsoever.
