Alread a thread on this. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/4085431-True-Covid-statistics

Oh, ffs, the article writer is either as thick as pigshit, or a liar who is deliberately misinterpreting everything that has been said by absolutely anyone whose data they dislike in order to manipulate behaviour for their own political ends. Also, woeful misuse of their own statistics. Why on earth would death rates be as per the worst case scenario that might have applied if we did nothing? I’m fed up with reading this sort of unintelligent tripe.

SingANewSongChickenTikka · 21/11/2020 17:50

This article is the very worst in Daily Mail tripe. Misunderstood or misused data to try to fit a headline that they really can’t back up. Shoddy and dangerous writing.

HomerRoberts · 21/11/2020 18:36

I find this incredibly irresponsible reporting, seems to me that the DM really enjoys shit stirring the covid conspiracy pot.
Why are some people so obsessed with the death rate?
The actions we’re taking aren’t really about the deaths.
Here’s an article from the Indy in the interests of balance to illustrate what I’m referring to....

Ffs how many times does this need to be posted today? This is the third click bait thread title I’ve fallen for only to find this sodding article again.

A new poster, too.

It's almost like there's a group out there encouraging its members to post this 'news'.

Cornettoninja · 21/11/2020 19:45

@DumplingsAndStew - surely not, I mean it’s not like anyone would use paid plants to push an agenda.... Grin
